In the spirit of our big idea, "Building Blocks of Societies", the Superstars have been learning that people and their jobs play a large role in society as a whole! As a teacher at an all-outdoor, inquiry-based school, I get a lot of questions about what and how kids are learning. In ELA, learners have been applying their phonics knowledge as they learn to read and write independently. As they recognize and decode CVC and sight words, learners are blending words they read and segmenting sounds they hear while writing.
